WHAT IS SSC EXAM?
The SSC (Staff Selection Commission) exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in India. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for various Group B and Group C posts in various ministries, departments, and organizations of the Government of India.
The SSC exam is conducted for different levels of education, such as SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) for 10+2 pass candidates, SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) for graduates, SSC JE (Junior Engineer) for engineering graduates, and many others.
The exam is conducted in multiple stages, including Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III, and the syllabus varies depending on the level of the exam. The SSC exam usually tests candidates on their knowledge of Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness, Reasoning, and relevant subject matters. Successful candidates can secure jobs such as Income Tax Inspector, Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Audit Officer, Sub-Inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics, etc.
1. SSC CGL:
The SSC CHSL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level) exam is a national-level examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in India. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for various posts such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant (PA/SA), and Court Clerk in various government departments and organizations.
The SSC CHSL exam is conducted for candidates who have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent) level of education from a recognized board. The exam is conducted in three stages - Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III. Tier I and II are computer-based exams, whereas Tier III is a skill/typing test.
The Tier I exam consists of four sections - General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language, each comprising 25 questions of 2 marks each, with a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. The Tier II exam is a descriptive paper that tests the writing skills of the candidate in English/Hindi. The Tier III exam is a skill/typing test that is conducted for specific posts.
Candidates who qualify all the stages of the exam are selected for the respective posts based on their merit and preference. The SSC CHSL exam is a highly competitive exam, and lakhs of candidates appear for the exam every year.
3.SSC JE:
The SSC JE (Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer) exam is a national-level examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in India. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Engineer in various government organizations such as Central Water Commission, Central Public Works Department, Military Engineering Services, etc.
The SSC JE exam is conducted for candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) from a recognized university. The exam is conducted in two stages - Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I is a computer-based examination that consists of objective-type questions in General Intelligence, General Awareness, and General Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical). Paper II is a descriptive-type exam that tests the candidates' knowledge of their respective engineering field.
Candidates who qualify both Paper I and Paper II of the SSC JE exam are selected for the Junior Engineer post based on their merit and preference. The SSC JE exam is a highly competitive exam, and lakhs of candidates appear for the exam every year.
